Rocky Mountain Breaking League (Youth)

 

We are proud to sponsor Colorado’s First Youth Rocky Mountain Breaking League, organized by Generation BBoy.

RMBL 2020 is a series of five events aimed to elevate the competitive skill level of the Colorado Youth Breakin’ scene and provide an opportunity for kids to showcase their best competitive spirit.

The League is open to all Colorado resident BBoys and BGirls, ages 7-14 years.

Each of the four qualifier events will be held online via Zoom and streamed live through YouTube. The fifth Final event is expected to be held live if permitted at a later date.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

• Qualifiers will be held every Sunday in June (June 7th, June 14th, June 21st, and June 28th)
• Every participant has a chance to score points through a 1v1 online battle against other competitors
• The battle runs from preliminaries all the way through finals
• All competitors earn points on the following scale:
  • 1st Place – 4 points
  • 2nd Place – 2 points
  • 3rd Place – 1 point
  • 4th place – 1 point
• Anyone who scores points automatically qualifies for the Top 16 Bracket at the next qualifier
• At the end of the 4th Qualifying event, all of the scores are combined and the eight competitors with the highest cumulative scores are picked to challenge each other at the 5th Final Battle.
• The 5th Final Battle is a Top 8 bracket challenge. We hope to be able to hold the final event in person. Date for the final event is TBD.

PRIZES:

• All competitors who qualify for the 5th Final Battle win prizes.
  • Final Winner – Round-trip plane tickets to Freestyle Session 2021 (Or a similar event in US)
  • 2nd Place – $100
  • 3rd & 4th place – $50 each
  • 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th place – $25 each

ADMISSION:

Cost to compete in the RMBL is only $25 for all 5 events. If you compete in all 4 qualifying events and don’t make it into the final event, when the final event is held live in person, your spectating admission will be automatically covered.
