School of Breaking is dedicated to keeping our environment safe, positive and supportive for all students, parents and staff. We will not tolerate any negativity, gossip or otherwise disrespectful behavior. Poor behavior by any parent or student may result in dismissal from our studio. Thank you for being kind and helping us towards providing a fun, creative and healthy space for children to grow.
School of Breaking reserves the right to refuse any further service to a parent or dancer if poor or inappropriate behavior occurs. If termination occurs, any fees paid to School of Breaking will not be refunded.
Memberships: Signing up for a membership means you are committing yourself to a 20-week signed contract. Signing up for a membership means you are obligated to pay the full cost of tuition.
Cancellation Fee: If you choose to cancel your membership after enrollment due to reasons other than serious injury, disease, or death in family, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee per account.
If paying monthly, we require you to have an active credit card on file. Credit Card is not required if your tuition is paid in full upon sign-up. Early cancellation fees are included.
Monthly payments are automatically processed. The dates when payments are processed will be determined per session. This authorization is only valid for the duration of the session unless notified otherwise by the member.
We do not provide refunds. No financial credit is given for missed classes. No exceptions are made. If a student misses a class, he/she is welcome to make up the missed class by taking an alternative class within the same difficulty level.
It is very important to attend every class. Consistency is an essential part of the learning process and key to improving your abilities and achieving success.
Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before your class starts.
All students must be picked up promptly after class. Every student should arrive with enough time before class starts to change clothing, eat or use the restroom.
Late students will have automatic 25 pushups upon arrival.
A missed class can be made up by taking any alternative class within the same difficulty level.
Missed classes must be made-up throughout the duration of the same session. Missed classes that are not made up by the end of the session cannot be used as credit in the next session. We do not transfer credits for missed classes into the next session or to another student. Make-up classes must be scheduled and confirmed beforehand.
You may not take a make-up class unless you are scheduled. Arriving unscheduled for a make-up class may restrict you from taking class. You may schedule your make-up class beforehand at the front desk or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In case of staff illness/absence: Class will still continue and another certified instructor will substitute. In a rare case when we do have to cancel a class, that class can be made-up per our make-up policy.
Recommended attire for the Breakdance classes consists of a t-shirt, sweat pants, sneakers, and some sort of a track jacket or a windbreaker for practicing power moves. We also recommend using a headspin beanie as protective gear (we have Headspin Beanies available for purchase at the studio).
School of Breaking reserves the right to terminate a student’s account without a refund if:
Observation of class is allowed but parents MAY NOT interfere with class. Parents may watch class through the viewing glass.
Parents may not watch class from within the classroom.
During normal teaching hours, the instructor's focus will be on the students and running class. Please do not disrupt class time to address questions. Please call the studio during regular office hours.
Please address questions to the staff instead of another parent as we have the most up to date and accurate information to help you. We will only discuss issues that affect your child individually.
Questions or concerns regarding any aspect of your child’s education or your account should be addressed by appointment with the appropriate staff member.
All studio news and information will be posted on our website at www.schoolofbreaking.com. We also send out a monthly newsletter you can subscribe to. Please make sure email@example.com is on your safe-sender list and not on your spam list. Please reference the website often for the most up-to-date news, upcoming dates and important information.
School of Breaking is not responsible for students and/or other children left unattended outside of regular class time including any older children who leave the premises for any reason.
