OUR PROGRAMS

Once upon a time, we were young, up-and-coming BBoys and BGirls who recognized the lack of consistent resources for Breaking in our community. The only way to learn the art form was by hanging out and meeting people who were living the culture, watching old VHS footage tapes, trying to teach yourself, going to clubs, parties, underground jams, and training spots or by learning from a mentor/educator within the community.

There were (and still are to this day) plenty of dance studios that “taught” Hip Hop classes but only a few were (and are) true to the culture. At the time, there were no “schools” in Colorado where you could find consistent education, instruction, and training in Breaking and Hip Hop culture. At least…not until now.

The intention of our programs is to allow students to learn, grow, achieve, and progress their education as dancers in Breaking and Hip Hop culture. Eventually, graduating from each of the three levels at School of Breaking (Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Levels).

We are proud to offer comprehensive curriculums through our three distinct programs.

Breaking Program

Our Breaking Program exists to educate and empower students to succeed within the art form of Breaking. This program will provide students with over 500 moves and concepts while learning about the dance, Hip Hop culture and its influences. Students will also receive tools and knowledge needed to:

  • Dance freely
  • Build a foundation
  • Progress in Breaking
  • Gain a better understanding of self
  • Grow as a person
  • Develop beneficial skill sets & character traits

With three main levels, our Breaking Program teaches fundamental Breaking vocabulary and allows students to progress from the Beginner to Advanced Level. Our Breaking Instructors undergo School of Breaking specific certification, which allows us to maintain this trajectory for our students. Progressing from one level to another is not easy and requires students to stay committed and work hard. Students can track their own development with access to class material available on our School of Breaking mobile app.

Students will receive consistent discipline, support, and feedback from their instructor throughout the program, helping their progress along the way. Once ready, students have the opportunity to advance to the next level by successfully passing a Level Assessment.

The knowledge within our Breaking Program has been passed down to us by artists within the culture who we have learned from and highly respect.
